Arts Council of Satakunta

- Allocates financial support for artwork and art projects. 
- Provides cooperation, resources and expert knowledge for art projects. 
- Gives information about the arts, different forms of support and art networks.

The Arts Council of Satakunta was established in 1998 as a state institution, subordinate to the Ministry of Education, to promote regional art forms.

The Arts Council of Satakunta assists artists working in the region as well as cultural institutions, organizations and all others that wish to partake in the development of the province of Satakunta into a pleasant and lively European province through activities in the arts and cultural life.

Among the activities of the Arts Council are allocation of grants and state subsidies, expert and information service, contributions to cultural policy and participation in project and residence activities.

The organization of the Arts Council consists of a secretary general and a department secretary responsible for the office and administrative duties, three regional artists and eleven trustees. The present regional artists are specialized in music, children´s culture (particularly dance and dramatic art) and architecture.

Our office is located in the centre of Pori, open Monday-Friday 8.00 am - 16.15 pm. The office services are available in Finnish, Swedish, English, French and German.
